Love the list and content! 🙌🏻 What are you kitting the Stegadons with? Skystreak Bows or Sunfire Throwers? Thinking its more so situational based on the list you get matched up against and not so much a set weapon list but was wondering if one is known to be more useful then the other?

Hey, so I've never played Warhammer, but I saw someone doing a painting tutorial for the seraphon and, idk man it was like love at first sight. I don't even care if they are strong, I'll lose and look Fabulous doing it idgaf. I'm curious though, why is the Snake Ark better than Solar Beam? I also don't really understand the importance of mortal wounds I guess. If someone could give me a quick breakdown I would appreciate it. If you are feeling generous and willing to explain a bit just keep in mind I don't know a lot of the lingo yet so use small words please 🥺

Most games, my opponents ignore Kroak as I surround him with Kroxigors and Saurus guard and he kills them by attrition. One game, he healed 6 damage and it felt good. One game, he miscast on the first spell in the first turn of the first round. Took 3 mortals, I roll a 17 and he's dead. Bad Sad game over. One game, my opponent's shark takes a cheeky pot shot at Kroak turn one (back when I sucked at deploying him as guarded hero), did 2 damage and I rolled an 18. FML So, most games he's absolute value town and a headache for my opponents. But sometimes he just peaces out round one and you're left playing 1500 points vs 2000 :D

My main positive take away is the unit variety and build variation. One of my other armies is StD and the internal balance of that army is so skewed to 5/6 clearly superior units that to choose anything different is to actively handicap yourself. So glad there's something different in seraphon

Hey Caleb! Got a question for ya. I’m trying to make a 2 stacks of Kroxigor list work at competitive tables. Let me know what you think. Kroaxigor Kroaky and Bastilidon Ark of Sotek for pushing mortals. Along with reinforced Kroxigor and reinforced Krox Warspawn. Skink Oracle on Trog along with Hunters of Huanchi w/ Bolas and 1 unit of Raptadon Chargers. That’s 2000 points on the nose. Thoughts? Love the videos.

Question, Roll a D3 dice on a 2+ - so if you roll a 2 on the dice does it go off for 1 mortal or because it’s a d3 dice the count is actually 1 and therefore the ability don’t go off?

I love Seraphon but the stegadon needs a refresh not so much everything above it. Stegadons have a horrible body that doesn’t look right.

Can you use the engines ability twice if you field 2?

It was a fun game. Would love to play it again!

With kitbashing/scratch builds I can field 8 stegs and 4/5 Bast. Will def like to try this kind of list

So I got permission to use another miniature for a lord kroak proxy but it has a 75mm base instead of 80mm and not close to the size of kroak. I got that part figured out but I couldn't find anything yet on the dimensions of a finished kroak to give opponents the full size for any rules.

Hi Caleb, seeing the stats centre from the Honest Wargamer (link: ruclips.net/video/FB6G53lQrQE/видео.htmlsi=Uli16kyB4-5oWDmH) it shows a few more Seraphon lists in the events covered there (at least a 4-1 from Italy and 3-2 list forgot from where). Even a 5-0 list from China running with an Oldblood on foot and Terrawings of all! You think you could look up those events, or some, and add those to the "win rates-sheet" you mention in your video, and see what that does to the overall win rates of last weekend with a larger sample pool? :)

Do you know if you get effectively +1 or +2 extra companion attacks on your turn one, if you use the aggradon scar-veteran to buff? Ive had longer discussions as to whether the extra rage token counts immediately when buffed during combat or whether it only starts counting toward the total attacks at the end-of-turn phase. Do you know?

Glad we're doing better, but Seraphon really have a hard time winning tournaments right now it seems. Wish they would give back some of our good tools. We lost all good shooting in 4e and only have a couple reliable units. Kroxigors are carrying the army hard right now, lol! I know it's wishful thinking, but I really wish we had better monsters and some shooting. I feel like our army has just enough unit variety that we should be able to run lots of different viable playstyles while not having so much bloat that it's impossible to keep track of all the units like Stormcast. But GW really seems to like armies being locked into one or two playstyles at most...

Didn't Seraphon get on the LVO live steam? DAY 2 GAME 1 I think it was. Would be cool to get your "game watch" on this match up if time permits.

I ended up 2-3 at LVO. The last match came down to a roll of for turn 3, my opponent and i looked at the board state and realized whoever took priority was going to basically table the other side. Looking at how my list functioned and how alot of other lists are built i think coatl familiar to get off speed of huanchi turn 1 is pretty critical. The games where i got the spell off were devastating to my opponent, when i failed it, the army struggled.

Thanks for the upload, Im just getting into Seraphon. One thing though you said you want to get Kroak up the board, surely you send a skink priest or 2 up the board to nuke trough? At least for the first turns, Kroaks Dead for innumarable years seems a bit risky, I mean if you lose Kroak early on it is pretty much game over no? Edit: Oh wait one moment i read next spell, so it means he can only cast the one spell trough the priest, in that case yeah don't like that...

I was at LVO! I didn't play Seraphon this time, but seeing the many lists there inspired me to pick them back up as my main army when I got back.

You can choose Field Sergeant as your first (and only) Honor Guard

Love to see Seraphon doing well and with a nice diverse roster. Really like seeing normal skinks included. No reason the Skink Starpriest can't take Field Sergeant as the first choice honour guard in Tad Batens list with 40 Saurus Warriors 🙂

love the breakdowns, i just picked up the army in 4th and these videos have been really helpful in constructing my army, very in depth commentary. that james gotrekson list looks like just the kind of style i'm interested in, a good mix of units, lizards big and small and i always love a good excuse to break out ravenaks gnashing jaws and the burning head, those models were a lot of fun to paint. about to start building the new plastic kroak, he looks like a blast now. hopefully he doesn't cost me too many friends lol, i know he was a menace in previous editions :P

I think I found my 2nd army and I didn't even get a game in with my 1st one.

So what is the lowest model count? Seraphon army that you have played with and what is the lowest model count you could come up with?

I run 18 with a scar vet on aggro and oldblood on carnosaur with a skink starseer an the lore of primal energy. It moves fast an hits hard. I usually go 3-0 with this list at my locals. I play it like my 3rd Ed ironjawz with gore gruntas.

I still call it Stellar Tempest. I dont know why it annoys me so much that they renamed it comet's call but it does.

9:20 But Krox are pretty slow and I think the community is catching on that moving anything near them is a recipe for pain. Neat video, this is a good concept to look at which buffs layer best on Deathstar units.

You would know I really haven't changed my list. It's pretty much Quetzl or Itzl and buff with aggradon leader when appropriate.

I had a game vs Sylvaneth where i got the Aggradons to +3 rage by fighting their terrain every turn. Stupid trees can fight back with MW though so I lost one and another one to Shooting but then the got in and boy did they do work with only AoA on top. In my Opionion that the way to best use them. Try to keep them away and fight terrain or endless spells if possible to build up rage then go in. Maybe an Engine to recover one.

Very cool, interesting to see. I kinda turned my back on Aggradons at the start of this edition in favour of Kroxigor but of late I'm going back to Aggradons. For me people avoid Krox too easily and then target them down, in my last Tourny I ran 6 with a field Sergeant Astolith Bearer. I ran them up the Board but still came up short, then the KO player lifted them off. Second game they did well but in the last game Slaanesh bannered Chosen lifted them and Kroak with their one two punch 🤣 I am curious how the Carnos compare now in terms of points/damage. If I remember Carnos weren't too bad and they've had a fairly chunky points reduction.

Something thats helped me think about itzl, is that mathwise is exploding 6s is the same as +1 to hit that stacks with other +1 to hit. So with both AoA and Itzl all of their damage is effectively 2s and 3s
